Witnesses broke up the assault that occurred in an alley near a restaurant around 3 a.m., said Red Deer City RCMP Const. Ben Draper. When police arrived, they were immediately able to get a full description of the suspect, Draper said. A woman was transported to Red Deer Regional Hospital for treatment. Draper said she didn't suffer any major injuries. With help from a cop dog, police found a suspect hiding in some bushes nearby a short time later.
