Workshops Details
Workshops will take place on Saturday, April 16. Below is a map of the space to give you a general sense of where the workshops take place. There will be 3 main workshop; participants can select one workshop for each session as follows:
Workshop One: 9 AM – 10:15 AM
A) What Trafficking Is/n’t with Lianne Hazell of ACT Red Deer – Main Theatre
Facts about trafficking. How it occurs. What we can do.
B) At-risk Youth in Canada with Stephanie Loewen – Dance Studio
Profiles. Realities of exploitation. Prevention. Aftercare.
C) Praying in Justice with Andrew Kooman – Basement
Why we pray. Creative prayer time.
Workshop Two: 10:30 AM – 11: 45 AM
A) At the End of Slavery with Mark Wollenberg – Main Theatre
Engaging the movement to see an end to all forms of modern slavery.
B) A Story Worth Telling with James Popoff and Stephen Waldschmidt of burnt thicket theatre – Dance Studio
Tools for you, your organization or team to tell the story you need to tell.
C) Creative Space, a self-directed time to reflect and create –Basement
Workshop Three: 12 PM – 1:00 PM
A) Engaging Young People with Graeme Watt – Main Theatre
Talking to young people about justice. Leading young people to address it.
B) Plan + Passion to Action with Nick Kooman – Conference Room
A proven system process your group can use to turn ideas into realities.
C) Creative Space, a self-directed time to reflect and create –Basement
If you need a quiet place to reflect or process what you’re learning throughout the day a good spot to do so is in the basement where we’ve set aside space to create and reflect. We encourage you to use the space after Workshop One on Saturday.
